Performed annual cooling maintenance on 2) 2016 Trane XL I 4ton units. Both FAUs located in attic. Replaced customer supplied media filters at FAUs and cleared condensation lines. Followed sequence of operations and checked voltage, amperage, capacitors, hard start kits, temperature splits, Freon levels, and rinsed condenser coils. Everything checked out in range. Zoning checked out operational. UV lights checked out operational. All 1050 thermostats checked out operational. Both systems are working properly in cooling at this time of service.

Executed cooling tune-up on a split system (technician notes). Washed air filter and condenser coil. Duel run capacitor – good. Running and starting amperage measured within manufacture specifications on all motors. Refrigerant circuit diagnostic – good. Thermostat – good. Client paid for tune-up via C.C. System is cooling the home at the time of maintenance.

Cooling service and safety check. Replaced filter, cleared drain lines, cleaned coils and electrical compartments. Verified electrical connections are secure. 15 amp breaker for furnaces tripping often per client. Verified amps on all motors. Found capacitors weak and compressor pulling higher than normal start up amps. Replaced all capacitors, contactors also installed compressor saver kit on each system to reduce stress on start up and reduce starting amps. Verified equipment is working properly according to manufacturer specifications. Recommend replacing furnace breaker to 20 amp also due to existing breakers compromised out from tripping. Office to schedule electrician to return to replace fau breakers see photos.

Performed annual cooling maintenance on a 2012 Lennox 3.5ton split system and a 2021 Carrier 3.5ton unit. 2) Upflow FAUs located in garage. Client replaced media filters prior to arrival. Cleared condensation lines from FAUs. Followed sequence of operations and checked voltage, amperage, capacitors, temperature splits, Freon levels, and rinsed condenser coils. Nest thermostats checked out operational. Both systems are working properly in cooling at this time of service. Spoke to client about adding a damper to casita to allow more airflow into office. Client to advise.

Everything checked out in range. Honeywell and Ecobee thermostats checked out operational. 4 total thermostats. Zoning checked out operational. Systems are working properly in cooling at this time of service.

Upon arrival, client saying system is not keeping up with 72° that was set on thermostat . Inside the house indoor temperature was 74 checked refrigerant levels. Refrigerant levels were within the range. Added a squirt of refrigerant as a courtesy to help system cool down the house better. Checked refrigerant levels for both systems at this time. Both systems are cooling down the house properly reaching very low temperatures of 73 degrees inside house.

Found system low on refrigerant. This is our first record of this system reading low refrigerant, will monitor pressures in future visits to determine if there is a leak. Charged with 2lbs r410 an and tested. System is cooling properly at this time.

Advised client we need to leave the system off till we return tomorrow. Advised on possible air flow issue or refrigerant charge. Found blower running. Most likely low on refrigerant. Client also stated they turn the unit off and on a lot. Advised to leave system at a set temperature. Charged card on file but account closed.

Upon arrival client stated living area s-3b2f systems outdoor unit making a noise. Cycled system and found compressor didn’t turn on. Found failed capacitor. Replaced capacitor and tested. Advised noise was compressor trying to start. Checked refrigerant levels. System properly running.

Upon arrival client stated system not cooling well. Found 2022 York micro channel unit low on refrigerant. Added 3 pounds of r410a. Signed up on yearly agreement. Advised client we should not have to add refrigerant. Advised we have a leak. Advised system is only three years old. Advised to reach out to company who installed unit. Sent over leak search estimate.
Friendly and great service
Danny responded to an urgent Friday request to restore full service to our AC when cooling was waning. We needed 5 pounds of refrigerant immediately, and Danny will return this week to perform a full leak inspection.
Our evaluation and proposal offered by Hyde’s included premium equipment at a very fair price. There was no pressure tactics employed, just open and honest dialogue. There was a bit of an installation scheduling snafu initially but was cleared up satisfactorily. On installation day, I was truly impressed with the coordination of effort and progress made. Review
Technicians arrived on time were very friendly and went about surveying the work area. They were well coordinated dividing up duties and preparing the site for new HVAC replacement. They immediately began removing the old equipment when a second vehicle arrived with two more guys delivering the new stuff. Everything was staged on the driveway (old and new). Then the recycle truck shows up and the old stuff is hauled off while the new equipment is moved to their respective locations. This was amazing to observe and happened in a little more than 90 minutes…amazing! Then we were back to two technicians one outside and one inside. A few hours later one system was running and the other nearly done. The next day another on time arrival a two hour visit and job complete! Workmanship is superb, great job cleaning up the worksite. The system is very quiet and well built.
